Originally published in 1923, this volume indicates that the editor “has gone back to the poet’s original manuscripts to ensure the absolute accuracy of the transcriptions.” As we know with cummings, every space and line reflect conscious decisions made as he developed his revolutionary form. Clean, unmarked volume with tight binding. Note the covers are slightly scuffed. This edition was published by Liveright. A later edition was published in 2022 by a different publisher with 120 pages. Whether it contains the same number of poems, along with this volume’s excellent intro, I do not know.
