Mariah Delaney, that enterprising schemer, is back with bigger and better plans. Seeing how excited her classmates become over a popular author's visit to their school, Mariah's Author-of-the-Month Club is born. Now real authors can come on a monthly basis to tell "the stories behind the stories" to Mariah's classmates and friends. The club suffers a slow start, but when Mariah persuades a famous author of a well-loved book to come to a meeting, things really get going...just in time for disaster to strike
