Here we have a deluxe collectible leather bound edition of David Copperfield, by Charles Dickens, published by The Easton Press in 1979. It is bound in deep red genuine leather, with 24k gold decorations and titling. It features moire end papers, a sewn-in ribbon bookmark, gilt edges on the text block, and illustrations by John Austin. It is still essentially new, though I have owned it for some years. It has never been read, and many of the pages are still stuck together from the gilding process, as you find with a new Easton Press book. There are one or two small mars on the gilt edges, but otherwise the book is clean, tight, crisp, and like new.
