All together, the book tells the story of Jesus’s family tree, with discussion points and family activities at the end of each chapter. The book is colorfully illustrated with lovely, folksy illustrations throughout. It is sure to become a beloved family tradition at Christmas time!
This book is pre-owned but overall in good shape, with no markings, page tears, or dog ears. The dust jacket does show some wear, particularly on the back. The silk ribbon to mark your place is intact and ready to mark your place.

This novel is in nice shape, with some typical wear to the covers (see photos). I read this one and really enjoyed it. Along with offering a compelling story, the reader will pick up some information about flowers, floral arranging, and the traditional Victorian era meanings of flowers. The story has a dash of romance, but its main themes are family love and the bond between mothers and daughters. The writing style is a little poetic and heavy, so I don’t recommend this one for your next breezy beach read, but if you’re looking for a good drama to curl up with on a rainy day, this might be a good pick.

Fun hardcover book all about The Ramones. This is an ex-library book, as there is a big WITHDRAWN stamp on one of the front end pages (now what library wouldn't want a book about the Ramones?) There also appears to be some small water damage on a back endpage, as you can see some warping with a small tear in the center (see photos). There is some minor wear to the cover, particularly on the corners. For these reasons I'm listing it as being in Fair condition. Vintage 1979 middle grade in nice shape for its age. No markings or tears and only a couple minor dog ears from back in the day that I could find. No illustrations in this one other than the Bigfoot foot print spot art at the beginning of each chapter. Looks like an entertaining story! The Boy Who Saw Bigfoot

Super cool book about the DIY punk scene. This would be a great read for anyone actively involved in the DIY scene or just nostalgic for the days of frequenting your friends' house shows (at this point in my life I am considered ancient and therefore fall into the second category). I haven't had a chance to read this one yet and so I want it to move on to someone who will enjoy it. It still feels crisp and new. I actually felt kinda bad opening it to get photos because it still has that never-been-read feel of a new book.

The Subterranean Culture of Punk House Shows

Daniel Makagon explores the culture of DIY spaces like house shows and community-based music spaces, their impact on underground communities and economies, and why these networks matter. This unusual book is from 2003 and seems to predate the “mindfulness with an attitude” genre that is so popular today. It’s in pretty good shape besides some minor wear on the covers, particularly the corners. The author’s interesting life combined with his zen philosophies would make this an engaging read for anyone who enjoys either punk rock, spirituality, or both.

Super cool book that I wish I had time to read all the way through. I’ve skimmed through it a bit and Jenna Fischer’s life story is every bit as engaging as the advice she offers to actors who are just getting started. Some of her wisdom could be applied to other creative paths as well. I got this book after listening to an interview with Jenna on a podcast, but I feel like someone who is actually an actor would get more out of it. The book is in decent shape but does have some wear around the corners. There is also some slight warping along the bottom of the pages in the first half of the book (see photos). Since there’s no water damage I’m not sure what could have caused this…heat? Or possibly the way it’s been sitting on the shelf? Otherwise there are no markings, tears, or dog ears. If you are an indie author or freelance writer, this book offers an in-depth look at different marketing strategies for the various social media platforms. This book is from 2015, so some of the info may be dated or irrelevant given how quickly these platforms change and evolve. However, some of the info also provides good foundational advice on which to build your marketing strategies, such as building a brand and mastering SEO. Sadly there is some staining along the edge of the pages (see photos), but the overall condition of this book is good, as there are no markings, tears, or dog ears and the spine and pages are relatively crisp. I had planned on keeping this in my stash of creative business books, but I’ve accumulated more books than I can read in a lifetime so I’m hoping this can be rehomed to a writer who will get some use out of it.

As you can see in the photos it’s quite wide and packed full of photos and information about some of the most famous artists, styles, and paintings throughout art history. This book is in really nice shape, with very minor age related wear typical of a book almost 20 years old. If you’re an art history buff this book would be a fun addition to your coffee table book collection.

This seems like a lovely YA novel. I thumbed through it and it looks like it tackles some tough topics with gentleness and grace.
