Condition: pages are clean and undamaged. No writing or highlights. Cover shows very minimal signs of use (see pictures). These are nice books. Marble Cove  is set in an idealic seaside neighborhood. It is about 4 women who forge a strong friendship. One was a writer for a major newspaper in a big city who has moved to Marble Cove after the death of her husband to live the life she dreamed of, becoming a published author of her own novel and living on the beautiful beach her family visited often. Another is a talented artist who is a native of marble cove who has a daughter with Down syndrome. She is ready to shoot for her dreams by opening her own studio in Marble Cove. Another is a young mother with a 3year old son, an infant daughter, a husband who works the docks, a new puppy, and a budget stretched to its limit. She is a talented baker and is trying to find a way to open her own bakery with the encouragement of her friends. There is one more woman who at first is not a resident of marble cove. She is a high-powered businesswoman with a beautiful, expensive home she is living in alone. Her father has lived in Marble Cove his whole life. He is elderly and needs more help than she is able to give by coming to visit every weekend. She is working out how she can manage working remotely from Marble Cove and comming to the office only when necessary. Every book has a mystery involving the decommissioned abandoned lighthouse on the beach of Marble CoveI love these books! They are a great escape, especially in the winter here in the mountains. I have read all 5 and am working on finishing the series. These are some of my favorites of the Guidepost Mysteries.

Library books 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10, 11. There are 24 in the series, so this is almost the first half. I like this series from Guidepost Mysteries because all books are written by the same author, Emily Thomas. Many Guidepost series have several different authors. It is about a young, recently widowed mother, Ann,  who has just moved home to her childhood neighborhood where she has just inherited a victorian mansion that belonged to her aunt. There is a stipulation in the will that Ann uses the first 2 levels as a public community library. Which is very fitting because Ann was a librarian in New York at the time. She soon finds out that the mansion has a few hidden mysteries and that her aunt had a few secrets she left behind. The writer makes it easy for readers to invest emotionally in the characters. Ann soon reconnects with her high school sweetheart and the forge a good relationship that looks like it is headed for romance. You will find yourself eager to move from book to book to read what will happen next.
