Copyright 1981 (see all photos for publishing information) this is a lavishly illustrated German language publication of the Roemer-Museum, Hildesheim, Germany and features many beautiful color and black-and-white illustrations of various forms of refined Chinese porcelain among the finest examples of their types. There is an appendix of reign marks and other marks found on the underside of the bases of many examples featured in the catalog. The pages are glossy and stitch bound (not glued). The book is in excellent condition with only very slight shelf wear to the covers. While the commentary is in German, the examples and dates provided should still be of great use to most readers.
