One of the reviews states: “… a rare and mysterious account, superbly translated, of what today would be called a ‘trip.’ Daumal mixes satire, fantasy, and allegory (plus a subject index!) onto a fiction that runs a mere 130 pages instead of the 700 a contemporary American novelist would need.” The dust jacket is dirty and worn, but not torn. The book inside is clean, unmarked, and free from damage. Not bad for an almost 50 year old book! French title is La Grande Beuverie. This book goes for around $30 on Amazon.
