Written by a Dutchman and an Australian this book is guaranteed to offend no matter what part if the country you're from. And if you're outside America you'll come away with some very deep misconceptions about what American cuisine looks like. If you're looking for BBQ and hamburgers you won't find them here. You will find a recipe for bear though. I can only assume the authors never actually visited the country, just read about it in books from the 1850s. I don't recommend trying any of these recipes but the photos of the scenery are genuinely amazing. The photos of the food on the other hand are... something.
