Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Stöber (1796-1865) was the Protestant-Lutheran pastor of Pappenheim in the Altmühltal. He wrote numerous stories and religious-edural stories in which he depicts the life of the rural population in the Altmühltal, but also in Austrian mountain villages.
