A must-read for dog lovers. This book is dedicated to everyone who has known the love of a rescued animal. Kat had me at hello, just like my rescued dogs (rip Rex). The story is told from Kat's point of view. Very few rescued animals come with a complete back story, I've personally witnessed the fear that sadly Rex lived with, it took him a long time to realize that this was home & we wasn't going to hurt or abandon him. Reading Kat's story gave me a clearer understanding of what these poor babies might have been thru prior to becoming a part of a loving family. I could go on forever about the love & dedication of a dog. They know & understand more than we realize & I'll forever be thankful that my heart knows the love of a rescue.
