This book was apparently privately published in 1963 by Alexander and then taken over four years later by publisher Bobbs-Merrill. An unusual find and signed by the author! It contains eighteen stories in a variety of styles including them is the Aesopic, etiologies, and clever solutions. The excellent scissor-cuts were done by grade school children in Cheefu, China, about 1920. The book is in good condition with few exceptions: small separation at bottom cover, what appears to be a tape mark on front cover and heavy wear on corners. No dust jacket. Previous owner gift inscription in ink on title page. It’s a lovely and unusual book!
