It follows the story of Anna Karenina as she falls in love with Count Vronsky and cheats on her husband, Alexey Karenin. They keep the affair secret for some time, but after Anna has Vronsky's child, Anna leaves her husband, eloping with Vronsky and leaving behind her son, Seryozha.
