The Book of Mary might well be subtitled The Quest for the Historical Mother of Jesus, for this book is a great author's search for all that is known, from the testimony of contemporaries ancient texts and latter interpretations, about the life and days of the most appealing of all figures in the Gospels, the woman chosen to be Mother of Christ.
