“The Sentinel” is a science fiction short story by British author Arthur C. Clarke written in 1948 and first published in 1951 as “Sentinet of Eternity”, which was ised as a starting point for the 1968 novel and film 2001 A Space Odyssey. This edition was published in 1983.
