Very light signs of wear: one crease down center of spine, and a few irregularities along the cover edges. No folds, tears, or dog ears. A marvelous story based on the author’s actual grandmother. Often taught in middle school. I’m a HS teacher and I read it because I’ve had countless kids of all genders rave about this book, unprompted by me. So the story clearly really speaks to and inspires tweens.
