This is a second edition textbook from 1994. The book cover has some wrinkles in the plastic casing as seen in the picture. Has some stains on the edge of the cover. It is American civics from a Christian perspective. It gives knowledge of our governmental structure. The primary emphasis of the text is providing young people with the knowledge they need to intelligently exercise their citizenship responsibilities. The teaching of community civics in the lower grades has been well developed and a number of excellent volumes stressing the practical and local operations of government, street-cleaning, the fire department, and so on have been published. At the other end stands the many comprehensive, detailed, and technical textbook, suited to mature high school or college use. It is for the field between that this volume has been designed as the result of much study, observation and consultation with teachers. This book can be easily understandable by junior high and highschool. Each chapter includes review questions on the text, as well as questions for further study.
