William R. Forstchen is an American author best known for his historical and science fiction novels. He is the author of over 50 books, including the popular "One Second After" series, set in a post-apocalyptic world, and the "Lost Regiment" series, set in the American Civil War. He has also written several non-fiction books, including his most recent, "We Look Like Men of War: The Story of the 11th Mississippi Infantry Regiment, 1861-1865".
