Vladimir Nabokov was a Russian-born American novelist, poet, translator, and entomologist. He is best known for his novel Lolita, which was ranked fourth on the Modern Library's list of the 100 best novels of the 20th century. He wrote in both Russian and English and is considered one of the greatest authors of the 20th century.
