Tommy Pico

Tommy Pico is a contemporary Native American poet, writer, and podcaster. He is from the Kumeyaay Nation and was born on the Viejas Indian reservation in California. Widely recognized for his energetic, candid, and often humorous style, Pico's work explores themes of identity, culture, queer sexuality, and the realities of contemporary Native American life, often through the form of text-message-like verse. He is known for his books such as "IRL," "Nature Poem," "Junk," and "Feed," which are part of his critically acclaimed "Teebs" series. Pico co-hosts the podcast "Food 4 Thot," which discusses topics related to sex, relationships, identity, and literature. His work has earned him several accolades and has solidified his status as a prominent voice in modern poetry and indigenous literature.
