T.D. Jakes is an American pastor, author, and filmmaker. He is the bishop of The Potter's House, a non-denominational American megachurch. He has written over 40 books, including bestsellers such as Woman, Thou Art Loosed and He-Motions. He is also known for his film and television work, including producing the Grammy Award-winning musical The Color Purple.
