Susan Orlean is an American journalist and author. She is best known for her 1998 book The Orchid Thief, which was adapted into the 2002 film Adaptation, and her non-fiction work for The New Yorker, which has been featured in multiple anthologies. She has also written several books, including Rin Tin Tin: The Life and the Legend and The Library Book.
