Monique W. Morris is an award-winning author, educator, and social justice scholar. She is the author of several books, including Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools, which examines the experiences of Black girls in educational systems and the criminal justice system. Morris is also the founder and president of the National Black Women’s Justice Institute, a research and policy organization dedicated to reducing the incarceration of Black women and girls.
