Kevin R. C. Gutzman

Kevin R. C. Gutzman is an American historian and author known for his work in American constitutional history and the history of the early American Republic. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia, as well as a J.D. from the University of Texas. Gutzman's scholarly work often focuses on figures such as Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, as well as on topics like states' rights and the interpretation of the U.S. Constitution. He has written several books and articles, and his writings sometimes engage with contemporary constitutional debates, reflecting a perspective that is often associated with a conservative or libertarian point of view. Some of his prominent works include "The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution" and "James Madison and the Making of America." Gutzman is also a professor of History at Western Connecticut State University.
