Jean S. Bolen

Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., is an American psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, and an author of numerous books on psychology and spirituality. She is known for her work in women's issues and advocates for a feminine, or "goddess-orientated," spirituality. Bolen's writing often combines insights from Jungian psychology with feminism and mythological archetypes, aiming to empower women and promote personal growth and social change. Her notable works include "Goddesses in Everywoman: Thirteen Powerful Archetypes in Women's Lives" and "The Tao of Psychology: Synchronicity and the Self." Her influential ideas have also led her to be a speaker at various conferences and a proponent of a United Nations 5th World Conference on Women.
