Jan Duursema is an American comic book artist and writer, best known for her work on the "Star Wars" franchise while at Dark Horse Comics, where she contributed significantly to the Expanded Universe with series like "Star Wars: Republic" and "Star Wars: Legacy." Her tenure on "Star Wars" included co-creating popular characters like Quinlan Vos and Aayla Secura, the latter of which was adapted into the live-action films. Duursema's dynamic art and storytelling have earned her a dedicated fan base. Outside of "Star Wars," Duursema has also worked on numerous other titles for DC Comics and Marvel, including "Arion, Lord of Atlantis," "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons," and "X-Factor."
