Jake Page

Jake Page (1936 – February 10, 2016) was an American editor, journalist, and author known for his works on Native American culture and natural history. He served as the founding editor of Smithsonian Books and contributed to a variety of publications, including Smithsonian magazine, where he was a senior editor. Page wrote or co-wrote numerous books, including works of non-fiction that reflect his interests in science, art, and history, as well as novels. His writing was recognized for its accessible style and thorough research. Page was also an advocate for Native American art and culture, showcasing it through his editorial and authorial efforts.
