Helen Macdonald

Helen Macdonald is an English writer, historian and naturalist. She is best known for her award-winning 2014 memoir H Is for Hawk, which recounts her experience of training a goshawk while grieving the loss of her father. Macdonald has written for the New York Times, the Guardian, The New Yorker, and other publications. She is also a professor at the University of Cambridge, where she teaches nature writing.
