Eric Gansworth is an American author, poet, and visual artist of Onondaga descent, born and raised on the Tuscarora Nation in Western New York. He is known for his exploration of Native American themes in his work, focusing on issues of identity, culture, and the complexities of life on and off the reservation. Gansworth's novels often reflect his own experiences and are notable for their use of humor and poignancy. In addition to his literary work, he is also a professor of English and Lowery Writer in Residence at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. His contributions to literature and art have made him a significant voice in contemporary Native American culture.
