Elissa Washuta

Elissa Washuta is a writer and scholar of Native American and white studies. She is an enrolled member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and a non-traditional student at the University of Washington. Washuta is the author of the memoir My Body Is a Book of Rules and the collection of essays White Magic. Her writing explores the intersections of race, gender, mental health, and trauma.
