Don Hahn is an American film producer known for his work on some of the most successful Walt Disney animated features. Born on November 25, 1955, Hahn has contributed significantly to the Disney Renaissance, a period during the 1990s when Disney animation experienced a resurgence in popularity. He is perhaps best known for producing beloved classics such as "Beauty and the Beast" (1991), which was the first animated film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, and "The Lion King" (1994), one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time. Hahn's work extends beyond producing, as he has also directed, authored books, and worked as an executive for Disney. His involvement in film and his advocacy for the animation art form have made him an influential figure in the entertainment industry.
