Christopher Isherwood was an English novelist, playwright, screenwriter, autobiographer, and diarist. He is best known for his semi-autobiographical novel Goodbye to Berlin, which was adapted into the musical Cabaret. He was a member of the Bloomsbury Group and the Auden Group, and his works reflect his interest in Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism.
