C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) was a British author, scholar, and Christian apologist. He is best known for his works of fiction, such as The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and his non-fiction Christian writings, including Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. He also wrote works on English literature, Greek mythology, literary criticism, and poetry.
