B. F. Skinner

B. F. Skinner (1904–1990) was an American psychologist and behaviorist best known for his development of the theory of operant conditioning. He conducted pioneering work on the behavior of animals in controlled experiments, and his theories had a major influence on the development of modern behaviorism. His work has been applied to many areas, including education, child rearing, and mental health.
