Allison Hoover Bartlett is an American author and journalist. She is best known for her book The Man Who Loved Books Too Much: The True Story of a Thief, a Detective, and a World of Literary Obsession, which chronicles the story of a rare book thief. She is also the author of The Language of Good-Bye: A Memoir. Bartlett has written for The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, and other publications.
